Photography Project – Outdoor Idea With Wooden Frame

Nov

16

I am constantly trying different things with my camera with shots, angles and even objects. After glancing at a few things on Pinterest I started to get some ideas to use a wooden frame in photo to see how it would turn out. I wanted an “outdoor look and feel” to the photo and rather than going to the beach I took the photo in the backyard with a wooden fence to somewhat match the frame (or theme shall we say). I took 2 different shots here. One that focuses more on the frame and the other on the person (aka my little sista).

To really pull out the depth and colors I use Gimp. Use the retinex and curves adjusters to get the right feel for your photo. The best thing I can tell you is to play with the levels and see what fits each photo because every single one can look different. This photo captures two photos in one and that’s one thing I love about it. If you live near a beach, place it in the sand and have someone standing near the water or even jumping in the air (this will be the next location the wood frame goes…).

The beauty about photography is that there are no limits. I have seen some amazing things done with photos and its true that the creative aspect of it is endless. I love looking at others photo work and getting ideas from their creative mind. Stop reading, go grab your camera and start snapping.
