Dog Skin Allergies and Rashes: How Chase Was Cured

Mar

This is a different post from what I normally write about but it’s pretty close to my heart considering it’s about my pup Chase. For some reason it hit me that I need to share information that I’ve learned about dogs with allergies with any of you trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with your dog. It took me almost 2 years to figure out why Chase would itch so bad and literally lose hair when vets would just want to give him a steroid shot to numb it. We all know that’s not the way to … Continue reading

Endurance According to Ryan Reynolds

Oct

I’ve been a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds for a long time (for many reasons…) but I just came across this video today that made me like him even more. He talks about “endurance” and what motivates him to train on and off the screen. In the video he talks about the NYC Marathon he ran a few years ago and how he wasn’t a true runner. He admits to running it slow but also the fact that he was able to run 26 miles.

Relieve Stress With Kickboxing

I always thought kickboxing was one cool way to exercise but always I played other sports and pursed other workout routines. In college I took some kickboxing classes and immediately realized just how awesome it made me feel, the muscles that I worked and just how empowered I felt (while also listening to some kick butt music). I recently bought a kickboxing bag that I could use whenever I wanted to rather than having to make it to a class or to the gym. Kickboxing is one of those amazing cardio workouts that helps build your core, arms and balance/coordination. Not … Continue reading

Going Against the Odds

Oct

Do you ever have those moments where something or someone puts you in your place and makes you sit back and go “whoa.” I had one of those moments the other day. I have always been amazed by others who never let anything hold them back whether they’re in a wheelchair, disabled or whatever could possibly hold them back if they let it. The other day I was almost done working out and I decided to hit up the gym to shoot some basketball before I headed home because it always helps me clear my head and concentrate. As I … Continue reading

Driving With Your Eyes Closed

Sep

21

Have you ever felt like you were driving with your eyes closed? And I don’t mean literally driving with your eyes shut feeling this way while you go through life? We go through life making plans and trying to figure out what we’re going to do with our life and getting frustrated when things don’t always go like we planned. It’s hard to understand why things work out the way they do or maybe it’s just me who thinks that sometimes. I get to the point where I go “what am I doing?!” And that’s when I feel like I’m … Continue reading
