Not only are the stories we hear at BB inspiring, they are what America needs to hear right now. We were so inspired that we decided to start a little thing called IAmAMomAndPop.com Have you ever noticed that many small business networks completely don’t cater to what we call “mom and pop stores?” SBA considers a small business is one that makes $5 million or more a year and Family Business Magazine considers their audience someone who makes $30 million a year. We can honestly say, that’s not a small business.
That’s when it hit us that we have to be a voice for small businesses in this country or what we are now referring to as the “mom and pop” businesses. We have become basically a forgotten race in this country where many say they want to help but actually cancel us out of their groups. Right now the mom and pop shops are the ones who will bring back this great country to stand tall, not the government or corporate companies. It’s time that we get back to the basics of what small business truly means and that is going back to where the stores started. Whether it’s inspiration you want to share, a photo of your business or a message to small business owners, we invite you to visit IAmAMomAndPop.com (submit stories to email@example.com)
Take the stand and show everyone that we are not a forgotten race.
(also, stay tuned for much more on this topic very soon!)
