One thing that I hate is when you talk with someone, call them or email them and they never get back with you or at least respond. This is such an important thing to do. It’s not only the right thing to do but also just common courtesy. Okay I know sometimes you get many upon many emails that come in and it can be overwhelming and you get to the point where you can’t answer them all. That is understandable, but do your best to get back with them.
If people take the time to reach out to you the least you can do is acknowledge them even if it’s a no. I make sure and get back with those that contact me here and through Business Beware. I want everyone to know they are important to me if they take the time to get in touch with me. You could also pass up some great opportunities and contacts if you just bypass not contacting the person back. And that’s a mistake!
It’s simple, if someone takes the time to write you or get in touch with you then make sure you at least thank them. The simple words of “thank you” go quite far and we forgot that many times. As a business it’s super important to follow up with people, so do it! No excuses.
